Various Sales/Marketing Pages at Info-Tech

Requirements Gathering Interviews + UX Design

A primary part of my role at Info-Tech for these kinds of pages was situated at the intersection of Research stakeholders (who needed to sell a service) and Sales, Visual Designers & Developers. I was a liaison who helped refine the content to tell an impactful story for the stakeholders while ensuring a balance in design, development, and deadlines.

Section Information Architecture + Info Page Redesign

IT Leadership Training

A webpage of an IT leadership training program featuring sections on team leadership, research solutions, tools and templates, guided implementations, diagnostics, and HR research. The page includes images, headlines, and links for various training modules and resources.

Old Page (Within the Top level navigation)

Issues with this original design:

  • Design does not fit the company’s current design system/visual brand language.

  • Content is confusing, and does not tell an impactful story.

  • Interface with text and images that were often confused as links.

New landing page for the section (catered to training programs)

What this redesign addresses:

  • Design fits the brand language.

  • Page has a clear purpose of promoting all learning programs provided at Info-Tech.

  • Links are clearly marked.

New page for the research content (catered to the People domain within Tech)

What this redesign addresses:

  • Design fits the brand language and uses patterns established in the internal CMS.

  • Page has a clear purpose of promoting “IT People & Leadership” research and does so by providing apt headers.

Project Highlights/Notes:

  • The IT Leadership team initially came to us to get a new design for an existing page.

  • We helped the team define their goals and ended up splitting the project into two separate pages for better usability.

  • We brought another training program from another part of the website to this section to make it fit better into the Information Architecture.

  • This section is now being used for the various training programs across Info-Tech. It is the new “hub” for training.

IT Management Fundamentals

New Training Program, Marketing Webpage Design

Project Highlights/Notes:

  • Our team designed a webpage for this new program from scratch.

  • Introduced in-page navigation within the top fold for the page, giving users the ability to skip to important sections, as needed.

  • After discussions with the CEO, one of the primary stakeholders decided to make some changes later in the design phase. Due to the easy structure, we were able to make the changes in very little time. This also helped make the page much shorter.

  • Hi-fi design by Val Poon.

Content Discussions (Mid-fi)

A webpage about management fundamentals with sections on core management skills, program overview, breakdown, delivery options, team photos, testimonials, and a contact form, featuring a blue and white color scheme.

Hi-fi Design

A promotional infographic for a management fundamentals program, highlighting key skills like core management, decision making, and leadership. Contains sections on program overview, program objectives, and contact information, with profile images of instructors or program coordinators at the bottom.

During my time at Info-Tech, I have had the opportunity to work on various pages similar to these.

My role included:

  • Creating product requirements documents (PRD’s).

  • Guiding copy/storytelling for new and old products.

  • Crafting heuristically sound experiences that work well for Info-Tech’s audience of IT professionals.

Through the creation of these sales/marketing pages, we helped Info-Tech sell more research, and members gain more value from our content. We also introduced new elements to some pages that helped improve the user experience for new pages sitewide. One such example was in-page navigation for longer pages with the value props of the page anchored at the top.
